Stochom Silja-Tallink Terminal. Silja Galaxy Ferry

Our bus goes to the port ofFrihamnen, located on the outskirts of Stockholm, in the Ladugårdsgärdet district).

Tallink-Silja terminal (on the map). It can be reached by bus from the Central station (stop at Vasagatan 16) in 20 minutes and 50 CZK.

At the pier was the galaxy ferry, already familiar to me - I spent a night on it in the fall of 2010.

Galaxy cruise ferry was built in 2006 at the Aker Finnyards shipyard (Rauma, Finland).

The vessel with a displacement of 48,915 tons has a length of 212.10, width of 29 and height of 15.4 meters, the draft of the ferry is 6.4 meters. The power of 4 main diesel generators of 26240 kW, 2 adjustable pitch screws allow the vessel to go 22 knots (40 km/h).

The ferry has 2500 berths, the total number of passengers is up to 2800, and the car decks can accommodate up to 420 cars.
